i quickly stitched up this most adorable little woolen bunny.... seriously, this bunny is stinkin' cute.  originally i was looking for a more three dimensional pattern, but once i stuffed this pattern by betz white, i think it came out perfect.  and so very quick.  i used a felted thrift store wool sweater, scraps of hand-dyed hemp/organic cotton jersey for the inside ears, and buttons for the eyes.  for the tail i made a circle, stitched a running stitch for gathering the circle into a ball shape, leaving a hole for stuffing a little bit of fill.  i stuffed the body pretty stiff to make it more three dimensional.

yeah, this was supposed to be an easter basket gift, but when it turned out so cute i couldn't help but share it a bit early.  pat suggested i make a pattern for a squirrel and other random animals, so perhaps a different animal will end up in the baskets :)

I vote for a possum next;) He's adorable! I really like the old-fashioned shade of rose pink for the ears. I also have a tendency to give really cute gifts ahead of time. It's soooo hard to wait sometimes.
