much to my back's delight, noah has been joining us more and more with his feet on the trail instead of dangling by mama's hips.  i remember so clearly the first day of hiking out of the carrier for both tanner and noah.  i'm not sure who is prouder, child or mama on those first days. 

noah has been joining us on the trail on his own two feet for a few months now, but off and on again.  sometimes cruising the trail along his big brother, mama, papa, or duke, other times riding on my back in the carrier.  but i think this week marked the end of the carrier for this boy.  not when he has so much to explore and has experienced climbing boulders and scaling mother nature's jungle gyms, hot on tanner's heals.
