i foresee...

i foresee another little buddy in the making very soon.

i left tanner's buddy on the dining room table for him to see this morning (tomorrow is his birthday but he's been enjoying watching the process of the doll making).  while tanner admired it and was full of smiles, it was noah who really took a liking to the doll.  carrying "bebe" around the house, making sure it used the pot when it had to poop, honk honking the nose, and inspecting the belly button.   seeing him cuddle and hug the "bebe" just made my heart melt.  yes, there will be another buddy in the making very soon... just as soon as i finish this one tonight.  i have to make the hair and embroider the face.  i have a feeling i'll be digging through the infant clothing bin for a temporary pair of clothes for this buddy.  i'm just psyched i made the doll itself, and in two days time to boot!  two years of procrastination, so silly :)

i'll share the details of the doll next week once i have it completely finished.... the pattern i ended up buying was great.

Oh it's so good to hear that it's not as hard as I've imagined. I really do want Bodhi to have a Waldorf doll for her third birthday, but can't stand the thought of buying one when I could make one.. You've got me inspired! I can't wait to hear/see more about your dolls. It's terribly sweet when they are caring for their babies, isn't it? Melts the heart.

Great job! I had to make Gray a baby a while ago because he kept taking Audrey's babies. I love watching them during 'doll play'. It's so very precious.

You've done a wonderful job! I particularly love the little cute. Can't wait to see the finished product - face, clothes and all!

This is too cute :) Can't wait to see it all finished. I will admit I bought my little man his first Waldorf doll, but I would love to make him one for Christmas. Can't wait for your post next week.
