it's been quite some time since i shared some of my favorite thrift store finds. here's some of my favs from the past several months...
this denim dress is my favorite dress of the summer. perhaps i'll get a proper picture of it because the below picture does its details no justice. it's like a prairie princess dress :) oh those gathers, stitches, and pockets, yes pockets! love it.
a fellow thrift store loving friend turned me on to collecting handmade pottery. here's my mug collection so far.
remember this mug that reminded me of my grandma? well i found a matching piece to make it my bathroom set- this new piece has a hole in the bottom of it, exactly what i was looking for to hold our toothbrushes! now i can be reminded of my grandma every time we brush our teeth :)
i spotted this ceramic tea pot on the shelf one day and knew it must be something special. either that or target or ikea knockoff. to my pleasure the stamp on the bottom showed it to be an authentic norway design. while this piece isn't something i'd use much, i couldn't resist buying it for its design.
and my latest fabulous find is this watercolor painting. i spotted it on the floor in a random corner of a goodwill and it immediately caught my eye. i inspected it and was pretty sure it was an original, not a print- but i couldn't get the frame apart without breaking it so i took the chance and bought it. as soon as i got to my car i busted the frame apart and was pleased to find that it was indeed an original watercolor painting. i'll be finding a better suited frame and it will make the perfect addition to our kitchen.
